Maison de Vacances is a French family business founded by Michèle Fouks in 1995. The idea originated in the heart of Paris, in the gardens of the Palais Royal with a first shop nestled under the arches of the garden, a stone's throw from the Louvre, between modernity and tradition. The collection was then highly refined depending on materials such as natural linen, cashmere and mesh, and with an emphasis on luxurious craftsmanship: saddle stitches and hand embroidery are at the heart of the collections. The tone is set, the collections must translate a chic and authentic art of living. What makes the brand successful is its authenticity, its timelessness, its lightness but also its duality. Because since 2000 Maison de Vacances has now been a brand embodied by a couple. Like the Ying and Yang, Emmanuelle Fouks and Nicolas Mauriac complement each other perfectly.
